FONT ESSENTIALS

Help & Font Licensing

Does a free font allow commercial use?

Not necessarily. A zero-price style can have different conditions for desktop, web, app or other uses. The license supplied by the publisher determines the permitted uses; the listing price alone does not.

What is the difference between a style and a family?

A family groups related styles, such as Regular, Bold and Italic. A publisher may offer one style free while charging for the rest. Family specimens can show styles that are not included in a free download.

Desktop and webfont licenses

A desktop license usually concerns installation in design software. A webfont license concerns embedding fonts in websites. Check the publisher's actual terms, including any limits on users, traffic or distribution.

Download or information problems

Prices, availability and publisher URLs can change. For a broken link, missing specimen or incorrect listing, contact WeeklyFonts with the font page URL.

Who owns the fonts?

Fonts and specimen artwork remain the property of their respective rights holders. Listing a font here does not transfer ownership or grant a license.
